"The search results are
really good, and when I can’t find HRH in the
searches then AP is right there in the top ten.
You do a great job, Tina, and you are
appreciated more than you know. Thank you."

WYSIWYG ???
What
You See Is NOT
What You Get! |
Have you ever
looked at a website in two different browsers
(like Internet Explorer vs. Firefox) and they
look different? Drastically different? A
little change can be expected, but some can be
real eyesores.
The source code behind the scenes, that you
don't see in nice text and pictures, can be so
confusing and sometimes almost impossible to get
to look the same in different browsers.
Good webmasters/designers should view your
website in various browsers and adjust the
coding so they look the way you want them to.
Here's a website that you can view in the two
browsers I mention above.
http://www.HotRodHydraulics.com
No matter what, the text sizes look different,
but I adjusted the CODE to look good in both.
Don't get stuck in this
type of situation. Some web builders
actually promise to keep your costs down by
teaching you to do the WYSIWYG game, promising
if you know how to use a word processor you can
manage your own website. They gain extra
business when you've messed up your website so
badly yourself! They count on your never
understanding the garbled coding behind the
scenes and which link connects to which pages,
etc. etc.. Then they will come in to rescue
you, costing you additional fees.
There are some designers who will use premade
templates from a service and will never look at
the coding that develops behind the scenes.
They may only build from viewing
W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. [what you see is what you get]
website editors. These can lead to "slap
together websites, publish them quickly, sell
the template and go onto the next customer,
because the clients aren't aware of anything
different."
But we're a little more picky than that with our
clients and validate all of our clients'
websites. On larger websites it's not
economically feasible to validate 1,000 pages
everyday and some coding will fail just a little
bit due to the tremendous amount of work, but
we're on top of validating at least once a month
on large sites as well and fix errors each
month. This is part of our monthly maintenance
fee, included in your initial quote.
Tri-Cities Web Solutions makes sure each of your
pages is validated for the major browsers out
there. We do not charge extra for this. It's
an all-package-deal with us. Whether or not
your website looks pretty much the same across
most of the major web browsers (such as Internet
Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) is not of their
concern but it is a concern of ours when working
for you. You are our example websites that
we've built, so we are going to take care of
yours.
